MRP My Style has been showing us what a stylish summer in cape town looks like. This campaign has been showcasing a number of Cape Town’s most fashionable individuals and their unique take on affordable, on-trend, summer style. This campaign embraces a fresh take on what to wear, in ways that won’t break the bank.

We have been embracing fresh summer pastels, contrasting palettes and trendy stripes. We have utilised some of the Summer must-haves while still keeping the outfits relatable and classic. The first outfit we put together went for a contrasting colour palette between a soft pink and gem green, an extremely stylish colour combination at the moment. We also incorporated stripes as they are definitely the trend of the moment. The second outfit we put together was a lighter, brighter look. We made sure to include a floral piece, as this is also a major summer trend; this look gave off a classic feeling. Our final look took a different approach to summer, using light layers with bright colours such as yellow and pink to incorporate a feeling of playfulness. We played on gender neutrality by incorporating elements of mens’ & womenswear.

We made sure to use minimal imagery in order to capture that fresh summer feeling that cape town exudes. This approach means that the focus was on the outfit and all it had to offer.
